Eurelectric

EURELECTRIC is the association of the European electricity industry. It is made up of 33 national associations in 32 countries, 46 corporate members and 1.000 experts, representing more than 3.500 companies in the electricity sector involved in the generation, distribution and supply of energy.

EURELECTRIC focuses on leading the Energy transition in Europe by promoting sustainable electricity.

It has the following commitments to its Members:

  • Represent the electricity industry publicly.
  • Promote the use of European funding for electricity solutions.
  • Communicate the benefits of clean electricity through media channels.

EURELECTRIC is constantly defending the positions of the European electricity sector, namely in the European Commission and the European Parliament, with the aim of leading the energy transition in Europe by promoting sustainable electricity.

Structure and Organisation

ELECPOR is a member of EURELECTRIC’s Board of Directors and actively participates in the work carried out by this European association, ensuring the presence of more than 50 experts from its members.

The work carried out in the context of EURELECRIC takes place in five discussion committees and their respective working groups, as shown below. There is also a Secretariat Group dedicated to Island Systems Management.
