Maria João Coelho, Director General of ELECPOR, participated in the 3rd edition of the Ibero-Brazilian Energy Conference, CONIBEN 2024, as a speaker in Panel 1, dedicated to “Strategies for the Energy Transition”.

His speech focused on the path towards decarbonisation and energy transition at the global, European and Iberian levels, against the backdrop of the COP 29 (United Nations Conference on Climate Change) held in Baku, Azerbaijan. It highlighted the role of the electricity vector and addressed some of the challenges and opportunities on the road to electrification and energy transition in terms of security of supply, flexibility, storage and network capacity.
