On 5 November, ELECPOR held its 12th annual meeting on the subject of “Storage and Digitalisation in the Electricity Sector”. The event featured two speakers: Kristian Ruby, Secretary General of EURELECTRIC (via online), who presented the report ‘Electric Decade – challenges & opportunities’, and João Peças Lopes, Professor at FEUP and Director of INESC TEC, who discussed energy storage in terms of sustainability, security of supply and technical robustness of the operation of the electricity system in Portugal.
The round table, moderated by journalist Pedro Pinto, was attended by Victor Baptista (REN), José Ferrari Careto (E-Redes), Rui Manuel Moura Leal (Siemens) and Jorge Esteves (ERSE).
